What to expect at one of our sessions

Each 1-hour dog training session includes:

🐶  45 mins of hands-on group training focused on recall and leave it cues

🎤  15 mins of Q&A with local dog trainers

Bring a short and long lead, some treats, and your dog — no special gear needed!

Registration is free but required.

Are Leave It dog training sessions really free?

Yes! All Leave It dog training sessions are completely free to attend, thanks to support from local councils.

Do I need to register before coming?

Yes — spots are limited, and registration is essential. Check your area above to register.

What should I bring to the training session?

Just your dog, a short and long lead, some dog-safe treats, and a positive attitude! No special gear required.

What kind of dogs can attend?

All friendly, on-lead dogs are welcome. If your dog has specific behavioural issues, let us know when registering so we can support you.

What happens if it rains?

We’ll contact you via email with updates. Some events may be rescheduled or moved depending on weather and park conditions.

Can I attend more than one session?

Yes! You’re welcome to come to as many sessions as you like — just register for each one individually.

Can I train my dog without going to a session?

Yes! You can use our free Leave It dog training app anytime to learn recall, leash walking, barking tips, and more — right from home or your local park. For extra support, you can check out our dog training tips.
